My parents are very conservative christians and very strict people. I am an atheist and a very relaxed person; i've never really believed in religion. Bias in college courses on racism in America?

So, I have been taking this course in my college here at USF called "Racism in America". Today, we had a 2 hour long video viewing about various hate groups and separatist groups, the Skin Heads, KKK, Aryan Nations etc, but in the 2 hours of this video lecture detailing the aspects of hatred on the web. It detailed atrocities like the OKC Bombing, and various hate related murders committed by these groups. In this 2 hour segment, at the end, there was a pamphlet opened from the SPLC detailing the hate groups in this country and their locations. They showed various categories (Skin Heads, KKK, White Separatists) and towards the end of the pamphlet, there was a section called "Black Separatists". There was no mention of this until a student (who happened to be black) asked "What are black separatists"? The professor said "Oh, those are racist groups like Yahweh ben Yahweh". At this point, I was fed up with the lack of objectivity and pointed out that Yahweh ben Yahweh was a group that systematically abducted and ritually killed homeless white people to the class. The professor then said "I don't know, but most of the racist acts are done by these(white supremacist) groups". He damn well knew. Why is black separatism, and other racist organizations like La Raza Unida Party and M.E.Ch.A. glossed over in these college courses about racism in America? Is there some unspoken rule against it? I have an 18" Trek 4300 and I think its a little small. I have a birthday coming up, and its my 16th so a new bike wouldn't be a bad idea for a present. I love this bike though, and if possible I want to keep it. I am 6'0" with a 36" inseam. When I sit on the bike, my feet are tippytoes on the ground, but when I put my feet on the pedals, they dont go nearly all the way staright when I pedal. Instead, they are still bent. Depends on the situation. For instance I had a friend who did not know what to major in so she chose liberal arts. It is by far the easiest in my book to get your Associates. After completion of the courses she finally knew what she wanted to do. She double majored in business administration (took 4 perquisites classes) and decided to leave for the military. She went in as an E-3 rating for the United States Air-force and and completed her 4 year contract. Now she is a Human Resource Representative for the Disneyland Resort in Florida. Hence, with out her liberal arts degree she would not be marketable for the administration department versus a regular general education completion in the military field.

Im 17 turning 18 in the beginning of Sep, I live in Canada (Yay! one thing to be optimistic about) I have anorexia and bulimia..I binge and purge three times a week, Im home schooled, I share a small bedroom with my two younger sisters who are two and four years younger, I get along with them well. I am religious and I know that for me I need to rely on that. My parents are both depressed and so is my best friend..and so is her father. My dad is a recovering drug addict. He has a license to grow marijuana in my basement...so I do not have a bedroom. My dad is bipolar and slightly reminds me of charlie sheen. When my dad is on pain medication he is insane, He relys on my sister to take care of the plants and some days he finds something broken or mites on the plants and he flips. I think that all of us have a lot in common. We were all born atheist, but some of us were injected with religious poison. I, myself started out an agnostic, then was introduced to baptism and although I stayed for a few years I was never convinced and refused to be baptized. College courses on Racism in America?

So, I have been taking this course in my college here at USF called "Racism in America". Today, we had a 2 hour long video viewing about various hate groups and separatist groups, the Skin Heads, KKK, Aryan Nations etc, but in the 2 hours of this video lecture detailing the aspects of hatred on the web. It detailed atrocities like the OKC Bombing, and various hate related murders committed by these groups. In this 2 hour segment, at the end, there was a pamphlet opened from the SPLC detailing the hate groups in this country and their locations. They showed various categories (Skin Heads, KKK, White Separatists) and towards the end of the pamphlet, there was a section called "Black Separatists". There was no mention of this until a student (who happened to be black) asked "What are black separatists"? The professor said "Oh, those are racist groups like Yahweh ben Yahweh". At this point, I was fed up with the lack of objectivity and pointed out that Yahweh ben Yahweh was a group that systematically abducted and ritually killed homeless white people to the class. The professor then said "I don't know, but most of the racist acts are done by these(white supremacist) groups". He damn well knew. Why is black separatism, and other racist organizations like La Raza Unida Party and M.E.Ch.A. glossed over in these college courses about racism in America? Is there some unspoken rule against it? Is there some ****** up "honor system" where nobody can mention it? Is there a cabal among Libtards that prevents them from being honest, fair and objective? Who says they can't? I have many atheist friends and colleagues, and I've been invited to address local atheist/freethinker meetings despite my status as a theist. In real life, most theists and atheists can get along quite well. That's because real life isn't like this website, where people are constantly at each other's throats. I am a christian, and I am having issues seeing the difference between promising to God that you and your loved one will stay together forever, and the marriage ceremony to begin with. My boyfriend and I intend on staying together forever, and we have made that promise to each other and to God. We have told friends as witnesses, and we both know that we will never separate unless one of us cheats. You have lost something that consummed your everyday life and it is like death. Like having stage 4 cancer, going through chemo and radiation, having blood work drawn every week for nearly a year and surviving. Then treatment is over and they say you won't have to come back but for your regular checkups. Well I missed my doctors and all the care and attention I received. Also from many family and friends. But then it was over. Soooo blessed to be alive and well! But still a big void I had to fill. And I did. I cherished everyday as if it were my last and learned to live cancer free. Look forward Graduate your whole life is in front of you. Cherish the memories of school and days gone by but move forward, keep looking ahead not behind you.
