Fellow Atheists and Christians alike, why did you choose this view?

I think that all of us have a lot in common. We were all born atheist, but some of us were injected with religious poison. I, myself started out an agnostic, then was introduced to baptism and although I stayed for a few years I was never convinced and refused to be baptized. I think that since we were born believing no god, there must be a reason, and why not keep it that way? Please share your views I'm very interested.
