GOD: why does god Need a Son (Jesus) to do the work? Was god just lazy? Was god making Jesus into a YES-MAN?

He had to have a son who could live among the people. A chosen one who he also had to sacrifice to prove to the people, that if you believe in God, you will have life everlasting.
