If America and its allies win the war against the terrorists, what are the benefits/gains?

Evil grows where good men do nothing. Hopefully by confronting evil we can eventually live in a world where justice and constructive living helps everyone but an insignificant few realize that a life lived to better humanity is much more desirable than a life destroying other people's lives.
