Trying to find a BBC documentary...?

I watched a documentary the other day about a scientist who believed the human body was a vessel to carry the gene and pass it down and how the human body is a machine with its only function to pass on and protect the gene, it also would cut to video clips of the Rwanda atrocities with various interviews.. anyone know the name of it?
