Don't Christians feel shame for the atrocities made in the name of Jesus?

Conquering, converting, misplacing and killing ("heretics" and if a person didn't convert) in the name of Jesus. If Jesus ever returned, he would be outraged, disappointed, and frustrated for what has happened in his name over the centuries since he left.
